Yesterday I shared some pictures with you of the exclusive Dumbo & Timothy Mouse Pop that I got in my Disney Treasures Tiny Town Subscription Box. You can watch an un-boxing video either on that post, or directly on my YouTube channel.
Today I want to share some pics with you of the other exclusive Pop from the box, Pluto. Pluto was another childhood favourite of mine, I loved watching the Pluto shorts; so again, I was very excited to get him in the box. Its a really nice Pop and I love his pose and how they’ve done him with one ear up and one ear down and his big tongue hanging out. The only thing I’m not totally crazy about is that the plastic/finish seems different on his head and body. The head is more matte and the body is shinier and there is a bit of a colour difference between them. I haven’t really come across this before with any of my other Pop’s so I’m not crazy about it, but luckily its mostly noticeable from behind so its not too much of an issue. Despite it, he is still an absolutely adorable Pop! Check out some pictures below:
I managed to get hold of the Disney Treasures “Tiny Town” Subscription Box recently from a site in the UK, Collekt, that orders them in from America. The boxes have a different theme each month and usually include at least one exclusive regular Pop, and exclusive mini Pop in special matching tin, plus other cool goodies relating to the theme of the box. You can view a quick box opening I did on my YouTube channel below:
The Tiny Town box came with two exclusive Pop’s so here’s a look at the first one, Dumbo & Timothy Mouse. This is my first Pop that comes in an oversized box so it was pretty cool for me to see; I love the window in the top of the box. This Pop is of flying Dumbo, clutching his magic feather in his trunk and with little Timothy sitting in his hat ❤ Dumbo was one of my favourite childhood movies and I’ve been so tempted by the regular sitting Dumbo Pop so many times so I’m so glad I waited and got this instead as its so cute and perfect! I just love that it features little Timothy in his hat and I love how he comes on the transparent stand so it really looks like he is flying. Check out some pictures below:
Today I want to share my collection of A Bugs Life Funko Pop! Vinyl figures with you all. They were released a few months ago now but I was only just able to buy them a few weeks ago. I got them from Pop in a Box as part of their 5 Pop’s for £40 deal which is a really good deal if they have the Pop’s you want in stock.
Anyway, the Pop’s available in the A Bugs Life collection include Princess Atta, Flik, and Heimlich so lets start with the usual pics of their boxes. They are all the same usual design of Pop boxes with illustrations of the Pop’s on, as well as which others are available in the collection on the back.
Princess Atta comes with a little clear disc stand to make it easier for her to stand on display. It is possible to stand her without it but its obviously not as secure as she has a skinny body and feet and quite a big head 😀 I really like her pose, I think they captured her character really well with it; and although simple, I love her little wings on her back.
Flik also comes with a clear disc stand like Atta. He is wearing his trademark cap and backpack but the thing I really love about him is his “water bottle” or “water leaf” I should say, that he’s holding in his hands. The water drop just looks really cool, much cooler in real life.
Finally, we have Heimlich, and I would have to say he’s my favourite of the three just because his colours are so bright and vibrant and he is just so cute and chunky ❤ Nice merch is so hard to find these days for this film so if you are a fan, I really recommend them as they are just so nice and really capture the characters well.
I’m really excited to share with you today some pictures and my thoughts on the Limited Edition Chrome Lightning McQueen Funko Pop! Vinyl figure. I believe it is a Target exclusive in the USA but here in the UK it just seems to be referred to as a Limited Edition and I’ve seen it on various online stores and eBay etc. However, I was thrilled to discover mine in a local shop (for a great price I might add!) that specializes in selling Pop’s that I discovered recently called Poptastic Collectables, in Weston-super-Mare.
I’ll start of showing the different sides of the box as usual. Its your standard Pop box design with the illustrations of the Pop on the front and sides, and pictures of the other Pop’s available in the set on the back.
Now on to the Pop itself! As you can see, its pretty freaking beautiful!! Honestly, I can’t properly explain to you how stunning this Pop is in real life, but it really really is. Its so shiny and beautiful and the graphic work on him is just stunning. I can’t stop picking him up and admiring him as he really is one of the most beautiful Pop’s I have ever seen. If you’ve been thinking of getting him but weren’t sure, just do it, you really won’t regret it! Now as much as I love him, probably the only other Cars Pop I will get is the blue Fabulous Lightning McQueen as I’m not crazy about the Cars as Pops, they kind of don’t look special enough to me; but this one is clearly the exception, as will the blue one I think as I love his awesome graphics. Also, if you haven’t seen Cars 3 yet, make sure you do! It’s really fantastic and the short film before it, Lou, is just wonderful ❤
I’ve been excited about getting the Ratatouille Pop’s since I saw the preview/pre-order pictures a few months ago and I was finally able to order them last week. I ordered Remy and Linguini from Pop in a Box, and Emile from Disney Store UK as he was out of stock at Pop in the Box.
I’d like to mention that it was my first order with Pop in a Box and unfortunately it wasn’t a smooth experience. I ordered 5 pops from them as they have a deal where you can get 5 for £40; it said they were all in stock and would be dispatched within 24 hours. I ordered on a Thursday. By Monday I had still had no dispatch notice so I messaged them to ask what was going on. I had a reply and was told there had been an error packing my order in the warehouse on the Friday and it had been halted so they would look into it and get back to me in a few hours, and refund me if necessary (as they had already charged me). Luckily they did get back to me later in the day and say that all was sorted and they had been dispatched to me that day; but they couldn’t offer any explanation as to why my order had been halted; or about the fact that they hadn’t informed me themselves, it was only by me asking them where my items where that they actually bothered to tell me. So, I wasn’t too impressed by that, but I will try using them again in future as they did sort the problem quickly once I’d messaged them and my items then arrived later in the week well packaged etc.
Anyway, on to the Pops! I was fully expecting that my favourite’s from the trio would be Remy and Emile, but actually, Linguini wins it for me! He is just so cute! His face is perfect, they really captured his kind of “worried” look and I love his little hairy chin (or beard if you can call it that XD). Remy is also super cute, I love his pose and his little smiley face and chef hat; and Emile is so cute and pudgy and love how they have done his mouth/face so its like he has a mouthful of cheese ❤ They are definitely some of my favourite Pop’s I own and it’s so nice to see new merch from Ratatouille. I’d definitely recommend getting them if you’ve been thinking about it.
I’m hoping to get a bit more organised soon and start showing you older pieces from my collection again, but I’ve had quite a few cool things arrive lately that I want to share too as I’ve photographed them as they’ve arrived.
Another item I ordered in the recent Disney Store sale was this Funko Pop Vinyl Figure of Sadness from Inside Out.
Her box is pretty typical of all the Funko Pop figure boxes, with cartoon illustrations of the figure on the front, sides, top and back. You can also see the other figures that are available from the Inside Out series on the back. One day in an ideal world I’d get them all, but Bing Bong at least is definitely on my list.
I love the pose they have Sadness in, with her clutching her hands together. It really captures her character well. They got the shape of her hair really well too. The glasses are a little bent on mine which you can see when you view her from the side, but its not too much of an issue. She is another much welcome addition to my collection 🙂
Its tomorrow!! Finding Dory is released in UK cinemas tomorrow!!! I am just so excited to see it!
Despite the fact that I haven’t seen it yet and have avoided watching anything about it except the trailer so its all as much a surprise as possible; I can already tell that Hank is going to be one of my favourite characters so today I wanted to share my Funko Pop Vinyl Hank figure with you.
I am slowly building my collection of Pop Vinyl, tending only to buy them when they are on offer/sale but I knew I had to have Hank as soon as possible.
His box is pretty typical of all the Funko Pop boxes, with a cartoon illustration of the figure on the front, sides, top and back. The back also shows the Dory figure that is also available.
As with a few of the various Hank figures available, he is depicted with his coffee pot in tentacle. I like how they have made the coffee pot kind of clear so that it looks like it has water in it. The Funko Pop figures are always pretty cartoony but from what I have seen of Hank, they seem to have captured his facial look pretty well. His tentacle suckers are pretty cool too. I’m really pleased with him and would definitely recommend him as a good addition to any Pixar/Funk Pop collection 🙂
And finally, here are some pictures of him in my new favourite prop I made which is the fish bowl 🙂 Sorry that I keep using it for Finding Dory pictures but it just works so well XD
